Resource Telecom Group boosts ICT capacity with the appointment of another skilled engineer

Resource Telecom Group, the fast-growing communications solutions expert, has enhanced its specialist information and communications technology (ICT) team with the appointment of another highly-skilled engineer.

It has brought in 26-year-old Scott Farrell to complement the ICT division, which has seen strong growth on the back of significant new business in the sector. Scott, who joined last month (May), will focus on the Glasgow area.

Scott has a background in the challenging sphere of public sector IT, having focused particularly on the NHS. He will be involved in both remote and on-site support as well as assuming a role on the Group’s highly-regarded help desk.

Scott said: “It is a terrific challenge for me to join a Group such as Resource, which has an excellent reputation within the industry for high-quality work and a dedication to customer satisfaction.

“All the Resource Telecom Group’s engineers are very highly qualified and I will also be concentrating on building certification and gaining new certification.”

Allan Napier, IT director at Resource Telecom Group in Edinburgh, to whom Scott will report, said: “We are very pleased to have secured the services of such a talented and skilled young engineer.

“Scott is enthusiastic and hard-working and has already shown that he is committed to the Resource ethic of putting the customer first and foremost in everything we do. I am sure he will be a very welcome addition to the team.”

Resource Telecom Group has just experienced its best ever year, with turnover, profits and staff numbers all at record levels. Its growth has been accelerated by a strategic decision to focus on economic sectors which continue to expand, such as services and the public sector.

The East Kilbride-based company provides telecom, network and mobile solutions to companies, particularly SMEs, throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK.
